Fortunately, there are myriad options when it comes to where and how to celebrate the arrival of 2024 in Music City, so it’s sort of a “choose your adventure” situation. From massive outdoor bashes to intimate formal events to funky dance parties, there are still tickets available to celebrations all around town. New Year’s Eve Events in Nashville
SoBro, $55+
Calling all boy band fans! Chris Kirkpatrick of *NSYNC will be ringing in the New Year at City Winery with a few of his friends from the turn of the millennium as part of the big Pop 2000 Tour. He’ll be joined by LFO (OK, the lone surviving member of LFO, but still) and the Orlando crooners from O-Town for a nostalgic night of ballads and beats. Did we mention that Kirkpatrick’s former bandmate Justin Timberlake is a part owner of Twelve Thirty Club downtown so maybe, just maybe, he could.

Long-time Nashvillagers know of the Wooten Brothers as a Wednesday night fixture in town, a family band of incredibly talented and funky musicians who lay down a groove like few people on the planet. They’ll be headlining the party at Rudy’s Jazz Cave, an indispensable venue named after their late brother, and it promises to be a funkified dance party with New Orleans-themed passed hors d’oeuvres plus a glass of champagne for the midnight toast.

Nashville has several New Year’s Eve musical traditions, and even though Widespread Panic is skipping their annual residency at Bridgestone Arena this year for the noodle dancers in Atlanta, NYE fixtures Old Crow Medicine Show will be bringing their brand of American roots rock back to the Ryman for New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Eve’s Eve. The tightest cover band in Nashville is made up of professional recording and touring musicians who play the hits from the late ‘70s to the early ‘90s, accompanied by vocalist friends who volunteer to sing one of their favorite songs. Past onstage guests have included Jonathan Cain from Journey, Tiffany, Peter Wolf from J. Geils Band, and Kelly Keagy from Night Ranger, so who knows who will show up this year?

If your preferred musical decade is the 90s, hit the Basement East for My So-Called Band as another dream team of musicians and singers run through the angsty alternative anthems, preppy pop, and hammering hip-hop that characterized the decade that gave us a US president who played Elvis on the sax as a guest on the Arsenio Hall Show.

Kicking off at Margaritaville downtown, the mobile party will move between six different venues offering drink deals for crawlers wearing their special wristbands. The route does cover a pretty wide geography, though, so come prepared to walk a bit or be ready to call a rideshare if you plan to hit them all.

Celebrate the coming of the new year from 21 stories above Sobro at the Joseph’s (literally) elevated poolside bar Denim. In addition to cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, attendees can pay an upgrade to allow access to a multi-level experience that includes entrance to the Joseph’s hidden bar, Four Walls, at street level plus a champagne toast at midnight.

It’s always a party at Hampton Social, particularly on the Instagrammable multi-level restaurant’s heated rooftop, but on NYE, they’re turning it up another notch. Individual tickets still include access to stations of small bites and an open bar, so there’s no need to put together a whole posse if you don’t want to.

Nashville’s largest outdoor rooftop party space is perched above the Fifth & Broadway retail, entertainment and dining complex. Show up and mask up at this elegant masquerade party where guests are requested to “dress to impress.” In addition to DJ sets from DJ 270 and Spiffy Boy Danny, the evening will feature a sponsored bar from 8 pm until 9 pm followed by a balloon drop and champagne toast at midnight.
