New Year’s Eve Events in Nashville

SoBro, $55+
Calling all boy band fans! Chris Kirkpatrick of *NSYNC will be ringing in the New Year at City Winery with a few of his friends from the turn of the millennium as part of the big Pop 2000 Tour. He’ll be joined by LFO (OK, the lone surviving member of LFO, but still) and the Orlando crooners from O-Town for a nostalgic night of ballads and beats. Did we mention that Kirkpatrick’s former bandmate Justin Timberlake is a part owner of Twelve Thirty Club downtown so maybe, just maybe, he could.

Gulch, $99+
Long-time Nashvillagers know of the Wooten Brothers as a Wednesday night fixture in town, a family band of incredibly talented and funky musicians who lay down a groove like few people on the planet. They’ll be headlining the party at Rudy’s Jazz Cave, an indispensable venue named after their late brother, and it promises to be a funkified dance party with New Orleans-themed passed hors d’oeuvres plus a glass of champagne for the midnight toast.

Downtown, $59
Nashville has several New Year’s Eve musical traditions, and even though Widespread Panic is skipping their annual residency at Bridgestone Arena this year for the noodle dancers in Atlanta, NYE fixtures Old Crow Medicine Show will be bringing their brand of American roots rock back to the Ryman for New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Eve’s Eve. Rock your mama like a wagon wheel as the ball drops.

Chestnut Hill, $40.10
Another constant of Nashville New Year’s is the appearance of Guilty Pleasures at 3rd & Lindsley. The tightest cover band in Nashville is made up of professional recording and touring musicians who play the hits from the late ‘70s to the early ‘90s, accompanied by vocalist friends who volunteer to sing one of their favorite songs. Past onstage guests have included Jonathan Cain from Journey, Tiffany, Peter Wolf from J. Geils Band, and Kelly Keagy from Night Ranger, so who knows who will show up this year?

East Nashville, $50.87
If your preferred musical decade is the 90s, hit the Basement East for My So-Called Band as another dream team of musicians and singers run through the angsty alternative anthems, preppy pop, and hammering hip-hop that characterized the decade that gave us a US president who played Elvis on the sax as a guest on the Arsenio Hall Show.

New Year’s Eve Parties in Nashville

SoBro, $250+
High above Demonbreun and just far enough from the peak craziness of Lower Broad, Harriet’s offers an exclusive opportunity to ring in the New Year while partaking of an open bar from 8 pm until an hour after the ball drops. We’re not talking about bottom shelf drink options either; Casamigos, Hendrick’s, Grey Goose and Veuve Champagne will all be on offer whether you choose standing room or a private VIP table for eight.

SoBro, $97+
The poolside aerie atop the Westin Hotel becomes a simulated ski chalet wonderland for the holidays, with private cabanas, tented outdoor tables, and plenty of warmer seating inside for guests to enjoy bottles of bubbles and à la carte snacks while enjoying music from Madeline Edwards and beats by DJ DAHDEE .

SoBro, $20+
This is an ideal option for indecisive sorts who can’t pick just one place to camp out all New Year’s Eve. Kicking off at Margaritaville downtown, the mobile party will move between six different venues offering drink deals for crawlers wearing their special wristbands. The route does cover a pretty wide geography, though, so come prepared to walk a bit or be ready to call a rideshare if you plan to hit them all.

SoBro, $125+
Celebrate the coming of the new year from 21 stories above Sobro at the Joseph’s (literally) elevated poolside bar Denim. In addition to cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, attendees can pay an upgrade to allow access to a multi-level experience that includes entrance to the Joseph’s hidden bar, Four Walls, at street level plus a champagne toast at midnight.

SoBro, $150+
It’s always a party at Hampton Social, particularly on the Instagrammable multi-level restaurant’s heated rooftop, but on NYE, they’re turning it up another notch. Depending on what level of VIP you’re willing to shell out for, larger parties can receive dedicated table service with multiple bottles of bubbles and spirits. Individual tickets still include access to stations of small bites and an open bar, so there’s no need to put together a whole posse if you don’t want to.

Downtown, $48+
Nashville’s largest outdoor rooftop party space is perched above the Fifth & Broadway retail, entertainment and dining complex. The expansive elevated open space is still close enough to the craziness below in the Neon Canyon of Lower Broad to feel like you’re a part of the action while grooving to local bands and DJs and enjoying access to either an open bar or a cash bar, depending on what ticket level you choose.

Downtown, $177+
While this might not be your first rodeo, Acme Feed & Seed is hosting the first rodeo of 2024 with four stories of entertainment, food, and drink. VIP tickets and Fast Passes are available for a more exclusive experience, and for the ultimate in hospitality, rent a rooftop igloo that includes VIP wristbands, a fast pass for entry, a champagne toast, party favors, Silent Disco headphones, and access to the VIP cash bar on the third floor.

Downtown, $375+
The always-classy Twelve Thirty Club is taking a tilt to the wonderfully bizarre with a circus-themed NYE extravaganza featuring a tarot reader, a mentalist/magician, showgirls, daring stilt walkers, and aerialist acts. There will also be live music performances all night long, including a headlining performance from Chris Ferrera on the Supper Club stage. Admission includes unlimited food, cocktails, and endless bubbly throughout all three levels of The Twelve Thirty Club.

North Nashville, $28+
Show up and mask up at this elegant masquerade party where guests are requested to “dress to impress.” In addition to DJ sets from DJ 270 and Spiffy Boy Danny, the evening will feature a sponsored bar from 8 pm until 9 pm followed by a balloon drop and champagne toast at midnight.

East Nashville, $250
The usually laidback neighborhood fixture Lockeland Table invites guests to get Fancy as F*@k (well, you know) for New Year’s Eve as they scrap their usual set menu for an evening of champagne, cocktails, and passed platters of treats ranging from pizzas out of their wood-fired oven to charcuterie to empanadas to Korean fried chicken and Oysters Rockefeller. The dress code is snazzy, so get classy with a bunch of your East Nashville neighbors.

SoBro, $300
You know that the luxury Four Season brand is going to offer an upscale NYE experience, so you can hang with the upper crust by planning a celebratory dinner at their lobby restaurant Mimo followed by an all-inclusive bash in the Four Seasons Hotel Nashville's fifth-floor ballroom, offering a top-shelf open bar, handcrafted cocktails, Moët & Chandon Champagne, an assortment of passed hors d’oeuvres, a raw bar, and live music from the nine-piece Nashville Allstars band.
